How are the pieces made

Each piece is made by hand by Haleema, in a small studio in Scotland. The work uses sterling silver alongside clay and resin, often hand-painted. Pieces move slowly between processes, from raw material to finished object. Nothing is mass-produced and small variations between pieces are part of the work.

How do I look after my piece

Silver, clay, and resin each ask for a little care. Keep your piece dry: take it off before swimming, showering, or sleeping. Avoid perfume, hand cream, and household chemicals on the surface. Store it flat in the linen pouch it arrived in, away from direct sun. To clean, wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth — no jewellery dip, no polishing cloth for the painted surfaces.

How long until my order ships

In-stock pieces ship within five working days from Scotland. Made-to-order pieces take two to four weeks, sometimes a little longer for more involved work. We write to you with a timing estimate as soon as we have one.

Where do you ship to

We ship throughout the United Kingdom and to a list of international destinations, which is set at checkout. Shipping cost and estimated delivery time are shown before you confirm. International customers may be asked for customs duties or import VAT on arrival; these are not included in the price.

Ring sizing

Rings are sized to order in UK sizes. If you are not sure of your size, write to us before ordering and we will help you take a reliable measurement. We can also work to a ring you already own.

Do you take commissions

Sometimes. Write to hello@bertrams.boutique with what you have in mind — a description, a reference picture, a timing. We say no more often than yes, but we always reply.

Is the silver real

Yes — solid sterling silver, .925. Where a piece is hallmarked, the marks are shown on its product page.

Will my piece arrive wrapped

Every piece arrives in a small linen pouch, tucked inside a folded card. There is no extra charge for gift wrap. If you would like a handwritten note included for someone, leave the words in the order notes at checkout and we will tuck it in.

Repairs and resizing

We will always look at a piece that has come apart. Send a photograph and your order number to hello@bertrams.boutique and we will let you know what is possible, and what it might cost.
